COOKBOOKS
There are only a zillion cookbooks out there written by everyone from movie stars, supermodels, and athletes to politicians. Some are actually OK, but some aren't worth wasting decent ingredients making the recipes
This is not an all-inclusive list, but here are a few of my favorite cookbooks:
Some very good cd-rom cooking programs are available. These are great because they can guide you through the steps with video and voice. My two favorite programs are:
Mastercook Delux 5.0--this program is a multimedia cookbook, a kitchen management program, and a recipe manager. I love it. __________
MicroCookbook 5.5--this program has over 12,000 recipes, all categorized for easy retrieval. __________

365 Great Barbecue and Grilling Recipes, by Lonnie Gandar, Lonnie Gandara--this is a fantastic cookbook for all barbeque lovers. It is a mainstay at my house. __________
The Taste of Thailand, by Vatcharin Bhumichitr, Clive Streeter, Michael Freeman --this is a beautifully illustrated book which goes beyond recipes (those are great, too) and into the culture of Thai cooking. __________
Chinese Cuisine,by Huang Su Huei, Su Huei Huang, Lai Yen-Jen (Editor), Gloria C. Martinez (Editor) -- this is one of the best collections of authentic Chinese recipes. The food prepared from here brought back many memories of traveling in China. Click here to find out more about this book

Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking , by Marcella Hazan, Karin Kretschmann (Illustrator) -- the penultimate Italian cookbook! With easy-to-follow recipes (redone for reduced fat), this is a must for any kitchen. __________
